PRODUCTION ENGINEERING SUPPORTER FOR MAYEKAWA NORDIC A/S
Join a brand new department and keep systems and processes in order
Production Engineering Supporter with a focus on keeping the systems running and getting things finished
Mayekawa Nordic A/S has asked us once again to find the right person for an important role. They are a client we know well and enjoy working with, and they are looking for a Production Engineering Supporter who can build and hold on to structure, support development, and be a key link in the technical day to day.
Mayekawa Nordic A/S is based in Middelfart and works as the Nordic development centre for the Japanese Mayekawa group. The company develops industrial cooling systems and heat pumps, and it is best known for the mCHILLER series, which runs on ammonia as a natural refrigerant and reaches high energy efficiency and sustainability that way.
The department you are joining does not exist yet. It has to be built from the ground up, and you will be one of the first two people in place: a manager and you. The manager sets the direction and builds the framework, and together you carry the daily work in the systems and keep them running. You are genuinely good with the tools, and you like working in them. And because the department is so new, you help shape it while it takes form.
Since the production unit in Serbia will need visiting, you should expect up to 25 travel days a year.
Areas of responsibility
You keep the things in order that everything else depends on. The responsibility is yours:
- Finishing and adjusting 3D models with production in mind.
- Managing drawing packages and drawing lists.
- Keeping items and codes organised in a structured way.
- Building and maintaining parts lists and BOMs.
- Maintaining product manuals.
- The work in the ERP and PDM systems.
- Describing components so production can understand them.
Tasks
Much of your responsibility and your work sits at the hands-on level, close to the drawings and the tools:
- CAD automation and workflows in practice.
- Creating, updating and releasing drawings.
- From prototype to production model, all the way to the final test before handover.
- Supplier contact and purchasing specifications.
Your background
You are most likely trained as a marine engineer (Maskinmester), production technologist or something close to it. You have worked with design before, and if you have had your hands on the production side as well, that is a clear plus.
The department has to master a range of technical areas between the two of you, and you will carry a good deal of the craft side. That means Vault and Inventor, including automation and workflows, mechanical design and assembly processes, an understanding of production technology, and experience with ERP and PDM systems. Knowledge of welding, sheet metal work, piping and fittings is an advantage.
The person we are looking for
You are structured and focused, and you finish what you start rather than throwing yourself at the next thing. You take the initiative when a solution is needed, and you do not wait for someone to ask you.
You can work on your own and you are a team player at the same time. Yes, that is a classic line, but here it actually counts. There are only two of you in the department, so you each have to stand on your own feet and pull in the same direction when it matters.
And you can find your way in an organisation that is not structured yet. Because that is exactly what you are walking into: helping create the structure that is not there yet.
It helps if you are interested in working internationally, or have done it before, with contacts and relations outside Denmark. Strong English is important for the same reason.
What Mayekawa Nordic offers
- A job with real independence, plenty of freedom in how you solve the tasks, and good room to grow both personally and professionally.
- A committed team with an informal tone and a good atmosphere.
- An attractive salary package, including pension and health insurance.
- Flexible working hours that fit around your travel.
- The option to work from home.
Your main workplace is the office in Middelfart.
Are you the one to keep it all running?
Can you see yourself in the systems every day, with the responsibility for keeping data, codes and parts lists in order, and with your hands in the drawings all the way from idea to handover? Then we would like to hear from you.
Practical details
The ideal start date is 1 December 2026, but the right candidate matters more than the date, so we are happy to wait. There is no fixed application deadline. We hold interviews as applications come in and close the process once we have found the right person. So if you want in, send your application.
About Mayekawa
Mayekawa is a family owned company, founded by Kisaku Maekawa in 1924. Since then it has grown into one of the world leaders in industrial cooling, with more than 4,500 employees across the globe.
The first piston compressor arrived in 1934. Mayekawa has kept developing the MYCOM compressor technology ever since, and today MYCOM stands as the strongest name in the industry.
Natural refrigerants have been at the centre from the very beginning, because Mayekawa takes the environment seriously. Industrial cooling is still the core business, but the company also works with meat processing equipment and with robotics.
About Mayekawa Nordic A/S
Mayekawa Nordic A/S is the development centre for standard chillers and heat pumps under Mayekawa Europe. This is where the mCHILLER Series is developed. In 2021 came the mCHILLER FUGU, a water cooled ammonia chiller, and in October 2022 the air cooled mCHILLER TAKA followed.
The organisation is flat. You ask when you are in doubt, and you help both your team and your manager get things to work.
As a new colleague you join a company at the front of its industry, and one that looks at the whole person. There is a balance between work and private life.
Mayekawa puts real weight on the working environment and backs it up with social activities and an open, honest tone, where there is room for a laugh and room to be who you are, among colleagues who stay. Those values should preferably match your own.
